Redlands Residents Cleaning Up After Storm Sweeps Through IE
REDLANDS (CBSLA.com) — Inland Empire residents had a rare dose of rain, hail and winds Thursday that left communities such as Redlands in bad shape.
The storm sent mud and debris across roadways, closing several off to motorists.
One driver had to abandon his car after it got mired in six inches of sludge.
In other parts of the Inland Empire was hit by hail.
At Fisherman's Retreat trailer park in Redlands, a large eucalyptus tree was toppled by winds onto a camper.
The manager at the park told CBS2/KCAL9's Kara Finnstrom Friday morning it was a miracle no one was hurt.
Finnstrom reports there's still more rain on the way Friday, but meteorologists say the worst of the storm has passed.
