Child Airlifted To Hospital After Being Struck By Car In Sun Valley

SUN VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A child was airlifted to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Sun Valley, authorities said.

The child was struck near Cantlay Street just after 4:40 p.m. Monday,  reported Erik Scott, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The crash happened near Sherman Way and Vineland Avenue, reported Sky 2's Stu Mundel, who said an air ambulance owned by the LAFD was taking the child to Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

The condition of the child was not immediately known.
