LOMITA (AP) — Authorities have confirmed that human remains found walled up inside a Lomita apartment are those of a woman who vanished six years ago.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office announced Thursday that the remains are those of 37-year-old Raven Campbell. There’s no immediate word on the cause of death.READ MORE: Problems At The Port: Recycler Ordered To Stop Polluting Area
The remains were found by cadaver dogs on July 2 after someone called the Sheriff’s Department with a tip.
Family members say Campbell once lived in the apartment with a friend but vanished in July 2009, leaving behind her purse.READ MORE: Sheriff's Deputies Investigating Kidnapping In Palmdale
The friend later moved out.
