“It’s a frightening experience,” witness Aren Khanbabaei told CBS2/KCAL9’s Erica Nochlin. “And I don’t know what the liquor store is going to go through from having a robbery and a fire experience. It’s heartbreaking.”

The store owner was being treated for minor injuries.

“I was just hoping that everybody was alright, and I really wanted them to catch whoever would do such a thing to an innocent man,” said Hussein Maaz, who’s a friend of the store owner.

The store owner’s daughter says the family is rattled by the incident, but that her father is doing OK.
