SAN GABRIEL MOUNTAINS (CBSLA.com) — Rescue crews located two 17-year-old hikers Tuesday who were reported missing in the San Gabriel Mountains.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the two teenage boys went for a day hike to Devil’s Canyon on Monday.READ MORE: Great California ShakeOut Set For Thursday Morning
The hikers were reported missing at 9:52 p.m. by the mother of one of the boys.

Search and rescue crews searched the area on foot throughout Monday night.
Around 5:30 a.m., one of the boy’s father located the teens on his own, and then waited for search and rescue teams to find the three of them.
