MOORPARK (CBSLA.com) —A 20-year-old man remained in custody Wednesday for allegedly attempting to fatally stab a man and assaulting an officer.
Authorities were sent around 10:10 p.m. Tuesday to the 100 block of First Street for report of a stabbing, according to the Moorpark Police Department.READ MORE: Flyers Containing Hate Speech Related To Jewish People Distributed To Beverly Hills Homes
Upon their arrival, deputies learned a family disturbance occurred at the home, and a man had been stabbed multiple times.
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for emergency medical care. Officials said he is expected to survive.

According to officials, Gonzalez was located and subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted murder several hours later.
During the arrest, he assaulted a deputy, which resulted in an additional charge of batter on a peace officer.
