LAKE ELSINORE (CBSLA.com) — A skydiver reportedly was killed Saturday in Lake Elsinore.

Deputies were called around 2:20 p.m. to Skydive Elsinore at 20701 Cereal Street to investigate a report of an air emergency, Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Rick Garcia said.

He says a Skydive Elsinore employee called police to say a skydiver was down.

Deputies found the victim just north of the airport shortly after receiving the call.

Advanced lifesaving measures were administered, but the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
