LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — City Attorney Mike Feuer Thursday announced the closure of more than 500 illegal medical marijuana businesses across Los Angeles.

“Many were close to schools, child care centers and other sensitive sites,” explained Feuer. “Others were disrupting the quality of life in our neighborhoods.”READ MORE: Local Doctors Flying Back From Super Bowl Save Woman's Life On Plane

Feuer has also worked to close a medical marijuana farmers market in July 2014, and a smartphone medical marijuana delivery application in December 2014, according to the City Attorney’s Office.
