Caught On Camera: UPS Driver Delivers Package To Man Who Doesn't Live At This House

FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Tuesday to identify a man suspected of stealing packages from a home in Fontana.

Surveillance video revealed the crime took place shortly before 6:40 p.m. Monday outside a home in the 16400 block of Twin Berry Court.

According to one of the victims in the home, a surveillance camera captured the suspect walking through bushes on the property and heading toward the front door of her home.

Footage from the second camera showed a UPS driver hand a package to the suspect.

"He was just very calmly waiting for the package and put his hand out, got it and walked away casually," one victim said. "There's no way that this guy didn't stick out like a sore thumb to even just a normal person, let alone a delivery person."

Surveillance video from a neighbor's property also displayed the UPS driver and suspect arrive at the residence at the same time in separate vehicles.

It remains unclear if the UPS driver knew the suspect before the crime occurred.

A credit card and shoes were inside of the stolen packages.

"It was just really surprising and disturbing to come and look at the footage and see a stranger standing there on your porch," another victim stated.

The suspect unsuccessfully attempted to use the credit card after leaving the scene, according to the victims.

"We can replace a card, we can replace the shoes, but at the end of the day, our security is our No. 1 priority."

The Fontana Police Department will investigate the case.
