Police Seek Help To Locate 2 Men Suspected In Santa Paula Shooting

SANTA PAULA (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Saturday to locate two men who are suspected of shooting several people in Santa Paula.

According to the Santa Paula Police Department, officers were sent around 10:30 p.m. Friday to the area of Harvard Boulevard at Craig Drive for report of shots fired with a subject down.

Upon their arrival to the scene, police located one victim on the ground suffering from what appeared to be two gunshot wounds in his left leg.

A preliminary investigation revealed two suspects asked the victims where they were from. At one point, a confrontation ensued and one of the suspects began to fight with one of the victims.

During the fight, the second suspect allegedly fired a handgun at the other victim, who also sustained two non-life threatening gunshot wounds to his left leg.

Authorities were unable to locate the suspects during a search of the area.

Detectives described the suspect who fired the gun as a Hispanic man with short hair that is around 25-years-old, has a thin build and is clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and has tattoos on both of his arms.

The investigation is ongoing.
