Report Claims Survivor Of Fatal Compton Crash Told Investigator He Attacked Suge Knight

DOWNEY (CBSLA.com) — The survivor of a deadly crash in Compton in which Marion "Suge" Knight has been charged says he attacked the former rap mogul, according to a new report.

Cle "Bone" Sloan, 51, who was injured in the Jan. 29 incident, reportedly told detectives from his hospital bed that he attacked Knight, according to an article in the New York Daily News.

Citing a report from a confidential source, the publication states Sloan told an investigator with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department: "I [expletive] him up!"

The publication further stated the department report said: "Sloan said he contacted Knight and began to punch him through the driver-side window."

Knight's attorney says they've always contended Knight's actions were in self-defense and spoke with KCAL9's Andrea Fujii via Skype.

"Our position from the very beginning has never changed and that's that Suge was attacked and no one has come forward to present any other evidence to the contrary," said Matthew Fletcher, Knight's attorney.

Fletcher says Knight was trying to escape when he drove away.

Meanwhile, Knight's father, Marion, also talked with Fujii and said his son is innocent.

"But I know him; he wouldn't intentionally hurt nobody," he said. "He was afraid for his life, I think."

CBS2 tried to speak with Sloan's lawyer, but the attorney he originally had no longer represents him.

Knight remains jailed with no bail.
