One of the homeowners confronted Bugarin, at which point she attempted to flee before the homeowner tackled Bugarin to the floor and detained her while his wife called 911, authorities said.

When deputies arrived on scene and took Bugarin into custody, investigators discovered that she was on probation for burglary and possibly under the influence of a controlled substance, according to authorities.

Bugarin was subsequently arrested for burglary and a probation violation and booked in to West Valley Detention Center.

It was later determined that Bugarin had entered the home through an unlocked door, according to a release from the Sheriff’s Department.
