LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 30-year-old Pasadena man was charged Monday with murder, attempted murder and assault with a firearm in connection with shooting and killing his sister and wounding his nephew.
Johnny Goins, who was arrested Thursday night by Riverside County sheriff’s deputies at a mall in Moreno Valley, was expected to be arraigned sometime Monday afternoon in Alhambra on the three felony charges.READ MORE: 101 Freeway In Hollywood Reopened Following Death Investigation
The complaint also includes a sentence-enhancing allegation that Goins personally used a firearm, causing great bodily injury and death.

Tanya Goins’ teenage son was also struck by gunfire, but his injuries were not life-threatening, according to the prosecutor, who plans to recommend that the defendant’s bail be set at $3.05 million.
