NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — An investigation was underway Thursday after shots were fired near Cal State Northridge, abut no victims nor suspects were found.

Two suspects were reported to have fled the area near University Park Apartments, school officials said. They were described as black males, one wearing a baseball cap and the other wearing white shirt, white pants and white shoes.

Unspecified evidence of a shooting was found, Los Angeles police Officer Jane Kim said.
Students reportedly received calls from the emergency notification system and were advised to avoid the area immediately surrounding campus. There were no reports of any injuries. The LAPD and campus police are investigating.
