'Cinderella' Screening To Raise Money For 'I Dream Of Fish' Effort

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The 10-year-old founder of "I Dream of Fish," a nonprofit that helps build sustainable fish farms in developing and impoverished parts of the world, appeared on KCAL9 Saturday morning to talk about the effort, as well as promote an upcoming fundraiser.

Miles Lin said he has loved to fish since he was 3 or 4 years old, and became interested in aquaponics as a way to feed children in remote areas.

After raising $37,000 in 2014 toward building aquaponics systems in areas such as Southern India, the nonprofit has plans for projects in Uganda as well as Compton.

Its next fundraiser will be be held March 8, at 9:45 a.m. at the Vista Theater in Los Feliz, when an advanced screening of Disney's upcoming live-action "Cinderella" will be presented.
