Setup For Oscars Expected To Cause Traffic Delays Near Hollywood & Highland

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Drivers in the Hollywood and Highland area could face traffic delays this week due to street closures ahead of this year's Academy Awards show.

Street closures from Highland Avenue to Orange Drive went into effect on Sunday night and will continue through Feb. 24 in order to make way for
the construction of press risers, fan bleachers and pre-show stages along the Oscars red carpet.

MTA subway trains will bypass the Hollywood & Highland station after the last regularly scheduled train on Saturday, Feb. 21, until 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23. Service at the station will resume with the first scheduled train after 6 a.m., according to organizers.

Metro bus routes along Hollywood Boulevard will be re-routed during thestreet closures.

Additional streets and sidewalks will be closed for varying periods between Feb. 15-22.

For detailed maps and closure information, visit the official Academy Awards website.
