Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Tustin Crash Dies Of Injuries

TUSTIN (CBSLA.com)   — Authorities say that one of two pedestrians hit by a driver in Tustin died as a result of the accident.

Shortly before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Tustin Police Department responded to an injury traffic accident at the intersection of Newport Avenue and Bryan Avenue. The accident involved two pedestrians and one vehicle.

The two pedestrians were struck while crossing the roadway. Both injured pedestrians were taken to a hospital with severe injuries.

Police said the driver was uninjured, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

On Wednesday, one of the injured died of her injuries, officials said.

The Tustin Police Department Traffic Unit continues to investigate the accident.

Authorities said it does not appear that alcohol or drugs were factors in this accident.
