Man, 50, Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Family Member Repeatedly For Years

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities in Simi Valley have arrested a man they said sexually assaulted an underage relative on numerous occasions over several years.

In May of 2014, Simi Valley police detectives said they began a child-molestation investigation involving David William Turner, 50, of Moorpark.

An adult family member told authorities that Turner repeatedly molested him/her between the ages of 11 and 17.

Authorities did not disclose the gender of the victim.

During the time period the victim alleges abuse by Turner, the two lived under the same roof in Simi Valley.

Detectives said they were able to develop strong evidence against Turner, and arrested him Thursday.

Turner was booked at the East Valley Sheriff's station and charged with sodomy on a child under 14, oral copulation on a child under 14 and lewd acts on a minor under 14 years old.
