Warrant Issued For Missing OC Man Accused Of Murdering His Wife

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — An Orange County judge Wednesday issued an arrest warrant for a missing man accused of killing his wife.

Prosecutors believe 48-year-old Peter Chadwick has fled the area or committed suicide.

The Newport Coast resident is accused of killing his wife, Quee, in October 2012 and then dumping her body in San Diego County. He was arrested on Oct. 11 near the U.S.-Mexico border.

Chadwick, a real estate investor, and his wife were discussing the possibility of divorce at the time of her murder, officials said. Following his arrest, investigators found blood and signs of a struggle inside the couples' upscale home.

Police were alerted to Quee's disappearance after she failed to pick her three children up from school.

Chadwick has pleaded not guilty to murder charges and claims his wife was killed by a house painter, according to an arrest affidavit.
