ONTARIO (CBSLA.com)  —  A wind-driven brush fire raged Saturday evening in Ontario.

Authorities said the wind was whipping up embers. Most of what was burning was mulch and brush, officials said.

The fire was burning near the intersection of Grove and Chino Avenue.

Because of the gusting wind conditions, firefighters feared embers would travel far enough to pose a threat to nearby homes.
