Inmate Back In Custody After Escaping Patrol Car In Downtown LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An inmate is back in custody after escaping from a Los Angeles County sheriff's patrol car Friday night.
The inmate was reportedly banging his head on the patrol car window and managed to jump out of the vehicle near the junction of the 110 and 10 freeways around 9 p.m. as deputies attempted to subdue him.
The man was caught just before midnight hiding under a car not far from where he escaped.
It was unclear why he was initially placed in custody.
