Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Jan. 23)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Expect to see sunny skies as we close out the work week. It will be a warm and windy weekend!

Temperatures will pop up into the 80s Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However, to go along with the warm weather, expect some fierce winds. Advisories are in place for much of the viewing area.

Wind will start humming later Friday evening with the worst of the wind overnight and early Saturday morning. Some wind favored spots could see gusts in the ballpark of 75 mph.

The winds remain in place through much of Saturday and then die down a bit.

There is a weak disturbance moving to the south that will develop as a cutoff low near Baja. Late Monday, it will push north and return as cloud cover and maybe some rain.

The latest forecast models are trending dry and considering how dry it's been this month it's safe to expect a drier forecast.

Temps will cool down a bit into next week.
