Suspected Drunken Driver Careens Vehicle Into Costa Mesa Home

COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) — A motorist reportedly lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a Costa Mesa home early Saturday, where he nearly struck three residents asleep in a bedroom.

Police suspect the driver was under the influence when at approximately 3:20 a.m. his vehicle careened into a home in the 700 block of Hamilton Street, Costa Mesa police Sgt. Cameron Phillips said. The home sustained moderate damage.

Neither the driver nor the residents were injured.
