MOORPARK (CBSLA.com) — A 29-year-old Ventura County woman was doused with gasoline and set on fire early Monday morning, authorities said.
Fire officials received a call from the woman just before 4 a.m. stating her husband was trying to light her on fire in the 11800 block of Broadway Road in Moorpark, according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.READ MORE: Chino Man In Custody After Allegedly Stealing Semi-Truck And Crashing Into Utility Pole, Parked Cars and A House
When authorities arrived on scene, they discovered the victim badly burned and a portion of the home in flames. The fire was quickly extinguished, officials said.
She was transported to a local hospital with significant burn injuries to her body.

“He is about 5 feet 7 inches, 200 pounds, Hispanic male with some facial hair,” Capt. Don Aguilar said.
Officials believe Hernandez is driving a white 2005 Ford F-250 truck with California license plates 86644S1.
“The truck has a white toolbox and fuel tank in the bed and large tires,” officials added.
