HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A suspected thief was recovering from injuries Friday after allegedly crashing a stolen bicycle in Huntington Beach.
The incident began around 11:50 p.m. Thursday when a man left his bike unattended while he went to pick up food inside a BJ’s Restaurant at Main Street and Walnut Avenue, police said.

READ MORE: Report: Orange County Hate Crimes Against Asian-Americans Up 1,200%“The suspect made it a short distance (across the street) when he lost control of the bike, hit a cement trashcan, fell to the ground and knocked out some of his teeth,” Huntington Beach police said in a statement.
He was located by officers and was taken to a local hospital for injuries.
