Rash Of New Year's Eve Home Burglaries Reported In Azusa

AZUSA (CBSLA.com) — Four homes in the Azusa area reportedly were broken into on New Year's Eve.

Three of the homes were in the same community. Two of the burglaries took place between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of West Kirkwall Road and the other home ransacked was in the 100 block of Cindy Lou Court, according to Azusa Police Sgt. Andy Sutcliffe.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating a break-in at a home in Azusa county, near the other homes targeted.

Sutcliffe said the homes were ransacked and property was stolen. He didn't specify what had been taken.

An unknown number of suspects entered through unlocked back windows.

No suspect information was immediately available.
