LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles police were investigating the death of an elderly woman in a home in the Windsor Square section of the city on Monday night.

From the scene, KCAL9’s Dave Bryan reported that the investigation was in its preliminary stages, and that a caretaker had discovered the body in an upstairs bedroom. While police would not speak on the record, a source close to the investigation indicated that the woman may have been stabbed to death.
