COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) — A fiery single-car crash killed a driver and injured his teenage passenger early Wednesday morning in Orange County.

A witness reported seeing a silver BMW traveling at a high rate of speed when it swerved, lost control and hit a large tree.

“The car caught on fire as fire personnel arrive and extinguished the flames, before removing the 17-year-old male front passenger,” he added.
