November Is Lung Cancer Awareness Month

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month.

Kim Norris, President and Co-Founder of Lung Cancer Foundation of America, stopped by KCAL9 Monday to share some facts about lung cancer.

Lung cancer is the nation's leading cause of cancer deaths for both men and women. In 2014, it is projected lung cancer will kill nearly twice as many women as breast cancer and three times as many men as prostate cancer.

The Lung Cancer Foundation of America has more focuss on improving the survivorship of lung cancer patients through the funding of transformative science, with the ultimate goal of curing the disease.
