Tustin Man Accused Of Molesting 2 Underage Victims In Custody

IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — A 34-year-old man was in custody Saturday for allegedly luring two under aged male victims through personal ads online and molesting them.

According to the Irvine Police Department, Sherwin Ngo of Tustin was arrested Friday for committing alleged lewd acts on a child.

Officers said Ngo posted personal ads on Craig's List, posing as a female offering sexual contact.

The mother of a 15-year-old male victim from Irvine was identified to police after explicit emails were found on his tablet computer.

A second victim, a 16-year-old male from Mission Viejo, was also identified to officers.

"We believe he knew he was interacting with a juvenile," Irvine Police Commander Julia Engen said. "He did make arrangements to meet, and in fact met with, one of these under-aged victims, and did have contact with them."

The victims names are being withheld for their privacy, but authorities say there may be more victims than the known two.

Ngo was taken into custody while working at a financial institution in Irvine and was booked into the Orange County Jail.

Officers discovered a large number of emails between Ngo and possible victims while conducting a search warrant on Ngo's email accounts.

"At least one of these under-aged males did have physical contact with the suspect, and there was an attempt to have contact with the second," Cmdr. Engen said.

This investigation is ongoing as detectives attempt to identify and locate any additional victims related to this case.

Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact police at (949) 724-7200.
