STUDIO CITY ( — Producer Ari Seth Cohen visited the KCAL 9 studios Wednesday to talk about her film “ADVANCED STYLE”.

Ari started the blog, Advanced Style, after moving to New York in 2008 and taking an interest in a demographic often overlooked. He was very close with his grandmothers growing up and saw all of these vibrant, active and stunning women and decided to profile them.

Seven Manhattan women are featured in the film, aged 64-95.

The film isn’t just about fashion, it’s about how these women embrace aging and are really thriving later in life. They’re connected, active and enjoying their later years without personal hang-ups or insecurities. Personal style is their way of expressing themselves.

The film opens Friday, Oct. 17 at Laemmle’s Music Hall in Los Angeles and South Coast Village in Santa Ana. Ari will be at both theaters this weekend for in-person Q&As.

The film is also now available on iTunes. Visit for more theaters.
