Riverside Police Dog Found At San Bernardino Animal Shelter

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Riverside police have tracked down their missing dog at San Bernardino Animal Shelter.

Noran, a black, short-hair Malinois weighing about 80 pounds, escaped from his home enclosure around midnight Sunday.

Police asked the public for help calling in any details about his whereabouts, with one report indicating he had been wandering in Moreno Valley.

Authorities say Noran was found Monday evening thanks to a call from a Good Samaritan and has been reunited with his handler.

"Shortly before 9:00 p.m. tonight, police received a phone call from a person reporting they looked at the website for the San Bernardino Animal Shelter and saw a picture of a dog matching the description of Noran," Lt. Mike Cook said. "Riverside police personnel went to the location and found Noran safe and well."

Further details about how Noran arrived at the shelter were not immediately available.
