2 Murrieta Men, Both 24, Killed In Sports Car Rollover Crash In Corona
CORONA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said two men, both 24 and residents of Murrieta, were killed when a car they were passengers in rolled over in Corona on the 15 Freeway.
The driver of a 2007 Nissan Maxima veered off the roadway on southbound I-15 around 2:40 a.m. Saturday.
Gregory Purcell Johns Jr. and Elmarcenia Johns were identified as the deceased in the single-vehicle crash that occurred north of Indian Truck Trail, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office.
Neither man was wearing a seat belt, the CHP said.
For some unknown reason, the driver veered onto a dirt portion of the shoulder causing the car to rollover.
The driver was not cited or arrested. His name was not disclosed.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
