2 Murrieta Men, Both 24, Killed In Sports Car Rollover Crash In Corona

CORONA (CBSLA.com)  —  Authorities said two men, both 24 and residents of Murrieta, were killed when a car they were passengers in rolled over in Corona on the 15 Freeway.

The driver of a 2007 Nissan Maxima veered off the roadway on southbound I-15 around 2:40 a.m. Saturday.

Gregory Purcell Johns Jr. and Elmarcenia Johns were identified as the deceased in the single-vehicle crash that occurred north of Indian Truck Trail, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office.

Neither man was wearing a seat belt, the CHP said.

For some unknown reason, the driver veered onto a dirt portion of the shoulder causing the car to rollover.

The driver was not cited or arrested. His name was not disclosed.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
