For Pediatric Awareness Month, The Charity 'Donovan's Smile' Aims To Inspire Communities

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month.

Al Mejia and his wife Laurie Mejia stopped by KCAL9 Tuesday to talk about their son's charity, Donovan's Smile.

After their son passed away from a rare brain cancer in April, the Mejias created Donovan's Smile to support, minister, inspire, love and embrace their community. Their goal was to develop a grass root effort to help communities lift each other up.
