Woman Killed, 4 Hurt In North Hills Crash On 405 Freeway

NORTH HILLS (CBSLA.com) – A 43-year-old woman was killed and four other people reportedly were injured Sunday in a crash on the 405 Freeway in North Hills.

The victims were riding inside an SUV that overturned on the southbound side of the freeway north of Nordhoff Street, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The incident was reported at 6:19 p.m.

Marleny Henriquez, of Los Angeles, died at the scene and four other women, ranging in age from nine to 44, were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Humphrey said.

California Highway Patrol temporarily closed two southbound lanes but they have since been reopened.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
