Deputies Release Sketch Of Man Suspected In Camarillo Burglary

CAMARILLO (CBSLA.com) — Deputies with the Ventura County Sheriff's office Saturday asked for the public's help in identifying a suspect in connection with a burglary case.

The suspect, who was described as a Latino male, allegedly approached a mother of two while she unloaded groceries and asked for directions, the office said in a written statement.

After the woman gave him directions, deputies said she continued unloading her groceries, and then entered her home.

That's when deputies said the suspect, who was in her doorway, managed to get inside and allegedly made some undisclosed statements authorities described as "very disturbing."

"The victim, fearing for the safety of her children and herself was able to shove the subject out of her apartment and scream for help," the statement indicated.

The incident in the 700 block of Paseo Camarillo occurred about 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities said the suspect was observed running from the victim's home. He was 5'2" and weighs approximately 130 to 135 pounds with a military-style haircut and bushy mustache.

Anyone with more information as to his whereabouts or identity was asked to call Detective Harold Orr at (805) 388-5119.
