1 Killed, 6 Injured In Multi-Car Crash On 5 Freeway In Castaic

CASTAIC (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say one person has died and multiple others were injured Sunday afternoon in a crash on the 5 Freeway in Castaic.

The accident involving a red minivan, truck, and motorcycle occurred on the northbound lanes of the thoroughfare north of Lake Hughes Road about 1:56 p.m.

One person died at the scene while six others were taken to area hospitals, including two trauma patients.

All lanes of the 5 were opened by 7:30 p.m.
