Murrieta Teen Allegedly Stabs Younger Brother Repeatedly

MURRIETA (CBSLA.com)  —  Police said a 16-year-old boy is in custody after following a stabbing attack against his 15-year-old brother in Murrieta.

The older brother has been arrested for attempted murder, according to police.

The victim had several stab wounds and was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, Murrieta Police Sgt. Matt Henry said.

The stabbing suspect was booked at a juvenile hall for suspicion of attempted murder, Henry said.

No names were released for the victim -- whose injuries are not considered life-threatening -- or the alleged attacker, because they are both underage.

Officers did not offer a motive for the attack.

The stabbing was reported Saturday afternoon around 3:00 p.m., police said.

The brothers live in the Rancho Las Brisas Apartments in the 40000 block of Los Alamos Road.
