LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Galaxy forward Landon Donovan and defender Omar Gonzalez were selected by fans to participate in the 2014 MLS All-Star game, the league announced Wednesday.

This will be Donovan’s 14th straight All-Star selection and fourth for Gonzalez.

The All-Star team, voted on by fans, will play the Bundesliga’s Bayern Munich on Aug. 6 in Portland, Ore.

The two Galaxy players were selected as part of the 11-player All-Star Fan IX.

The rest of the roster will be selected by Portland Timbers coach Caleb Porter.

Bayern Munich is one of the world’s top soccer clubs.
