Police Hunt Man Suspected In Sexual Assault On Woman In Valley Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Police Department is trying to identify a man suspected in a sexual assault.

On Thursday, they released a flier hoping someone in the public could identify the man they're looking for.

The attack occurred in the 6300 block of Reseda Boulevard in the San Fernando Valley, police said. They did not announce what day or time the crime occurred.

Police say the man cut a window screen and climbed through the victim's window. Once inside the residence, they say he cut off the woman's underwear and committed a sexual assault.

The man also is accused of stealing property. Police said he fled through the same open window.

He is described as a Latino, about 5-foot-5 and 160-170 pounds. He is believed to be 18-25 years old.

Anyone with information about the man suspected in the attack is asked to call the West Valley Detective Division at (81) 374-7730.
