Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (July 10)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Enjoy the cooler temperatures Thursday before things heat up again.

The marine layer thickened up a bit from a stronger on-shore flow. That has helped the cloud deck to penetrate some of the valleys.

Temperatures will be down a couple of degrees from Wednesday's highs. Expect some slight warming Friday, but by the weekend a ridge of high pressure to the east is going to strengthen bringing in much warmer weather for the weekend and beyond.

The high will drift to the northwest. While this is not the typical spot to promote high humidity and thunderstorm activity, it looks like the circulation around that high pressure will allow the intrusion of some tropical moisture.

The best chances for this activity will be on Monday and Tuesday, but look for a drier heat on Wednesday.

Nevertheless with the temperatures popping up, it will feel more humid.  So get ready for some summer weather over the next several days.
