1 Dead, 4 Wounded In Smoke Shop Shooting

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Police are searching for two black male suspects after a fatal shooting that took place Monday night outside a San Bernardino smoke shop, officials said.

According to San Bernardino police, the shooting was reported at 11:11 p.m. yesterday evening outside of N D Smoke Shop, located within a strip mall in the 300 block of East Baseline Street.

Police said that when they arrived to the scene, they located five gunshot victims who were later identified as four adult males and one adult female.

All victims were taken by ambulance to two local hospitals for treatment of their gunshot related injuries, police said.

According to officials, Orlando Wayne Hunt Jr., 24, of Banning, Calif., was shot on a sidewalk and died of his injuries within the hour.

The other victims were listed in stable condition, with non-life threatening injuries from various gunshot wounds, police said.

Officials report that neither the store owner or the employees were injured.

Police will be reviewing surveillance video from nearby businesses, and report that the shooting appears to be gang and narcotics related.
