Dodgers Reinstate Juan Uribe, Send Triunfel To Minors

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —  The Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday reactivated Juan Uribe after a right hamstring strain from the 15-day disabled list.

To make room for Uribe on the 25-man roster, the team optioned infielder Carlos Triunfel to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Uribe last appeared in a big league game May 20. Uribe had a hot bat before he got injured. He was hitting .303 with 11 doubles, four home runs and 18 RBI in 40 games with the Dodgers this season.

He made five rehab starts for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and batted .316 (6-for-19) with four runs scored, two doubles and three RBI. He last played Tuesday at High Desert. In his final game, Uribe went 0-for-3 and played third base for six innings.

Triunfel appeared in seven games during his brief call-up, going 2-for-7 with a home run.
