Unlike Klinsman, Elephant Predicts USMNT Will Defeat Germany

Elephant Predicts World Cup Matches by Associated Press on YouTube

(CBSLA.com) A female elephant from Germany has predicted USA and Ghana will defeat the group heavy-favorite Germany in the opening games.

This is the complete opposite of what USMNT head coach Jurgen Kilnsman said to the New York Times.

"We cannot win the World Cup because we are not at that level yet," Klinsmann said, according to the New York Times. "For us, we have to play the game of our lives seven times to win the tournament."

The last time Germany- US played together was in June 2013 where the Yanks defeated Deutschland 4-3 in front of a sold-out crowd at RFK Stadium in Washington DC.

The win in 2013 was the US' third win against the Germans all-time and the first win since 1999.

In Brazil, the US is dubbed into this year's "Group of Death" – USA, Ghana, Portugal and Germany.

According to the latest FIFA World Rankings Germany is ranked second while Portugal is fourth.

Vegas is also with Klinsman, not giving the US any chance to advance past the group stages. Germany is currently the third choice in Bovada's latest odds at 11/2 to win the World Cup outright while USA is a long shot at 100/1.

As for the group props, USMNT have the worst odds to win group G at 11/1.

In FIFA's last World Cup the "Paul" the Octopus, who died in 2012, became very famous for his accurate predictions in South Africa.

So the Americans will be hoping the Elephant will duplicate the success off 'Paul' -- because other than that, nobody is giving them hope.
