HAWTHORNE (CBSLA.com) — Police activity temporarily blocked a portion of the 105 Freeway in the Hawthorne area, officials said Saturday.

The California Highway Patrol said via Twitter that a Sigalert was issued for the westbound lanes of the thoroughfare at Prairie Avenue. That Sigalert, however, was canceled about 11:38 a.m.
It was not immediately clear what prompted the closure.
