Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (March 16)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — We have skipped directly to summer today.

Very hot temperatures have descended on the Southland. Downtown has been flirting with record heat today.

A front sweeping into the Northwest tomorrow will knock those temperatures down a bunch.

Look for a good 10 to 12 degree drop by tomorrow.

We may also see the return of some patchy fog. However, the fog that does develop will be dense ... we may need some dense fog advisories in the morning.

Otherwise even with the cool down tomorrow we will be above average and it will be pleasant.

As the front passes in the middle of the day look for gusty winds to develop. A coastal eddy on Tuesday and stronger on-shore flow will bring temperatures down even more. There will be some slight warming on Wednesday.

Right now, there is no rain in our immediate future; however, the long range models are hinting at rain later next week.

Basin - upper 70s;
Beaches - mid to upper 70s;
Valleys - upper 70s;
Deserts - upper 70s;
Mountains - mid 50s.
