Man Convicted Of Killing Infant Daughter, Stashing Her Body In Storage Unit Gets Death

INDIO (AP) — A former Southern California man, who killed his 2-month-old daughter and stashed the body in a storage unit, has been sentenced to death.

Jason Hann, 39, of Vermont was sentenced Friday for first-degree murder.

Prosecutors say Hann was living in Desert Hot Springs in 2001 when he struck his daughter, Montana, to stop her crying.

The girl died.

Authorities say Hann and the girl's mother placed the body in a plastic container and moved away. Her decomposed remains were found in an Arkansas storage unit in 2002.

The mother, Krissy Werntz of Indiana, faces a murder trial next month.

Hann already is serving up to 30 years in prison for the 1999 murder of his 6-week-old son in Vermont. That body was found in an Arizona storage unit in 2002.
