2-Alarm Fire Burns At Bassett-Area Pallet Yard

BASSETT (CBSLA.com) — A two-alarm blaze burned Monday night at a pallet yard in the unincorporated Bassett area.

Los Angeles firefighters got the incident call around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Vineland and Temple avenues, Sky9's Kevin Takumi reports.

There were reports of a few propane tanks exploding on forklifts and on loose tanks.

Crews were trying to protect a commercial building next to the flames, Takumi said.

It took more than 100 firefighters more than an hour to get a handle on the fire.

There were no reports of injuries.
