Public's Help Sought Solving Fatal Shooting In Van Nuys Parking Lot

VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — Police are asking for the public's help in their search for the suspect responsible for the murder of a 28-year-old man who was shot Monday in a Van Nuys parking lot.

Sevada Aghazarian was in the parking lot in the 13640 block of Burbank Boulevard when he was confronted by the suspect at approximately 6:10 p.m., according to a LAPD spokesperson.

The suspect produced a semi-automatic handgun and fired numerous times, striking the victim in the torso.

L.A. Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he died a short time later from his injuries.

The suspect is described as a male Armenian, around 35 years of age.
