Man Shot Boarding Bus In South LA
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man is in the hospital after he was shot while boarding a bus in South Los Angeles Monday.
Sheriff's Transit Bureau Lt. Albert Maldonado told City News Service the victim was boarding the bus at 83rd Street and Western Avenue shortly after 2 p.m. when someone else on board opened fire.
One person has been detained. Maldonado said three others on the bus may have been involved.
The victim's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
His identity has not been released.
It's unclear if the victim knew the shooter.
The investigation is ongoing.
